God loves you
Becoming a part of God’s family is the best thing that could have happened in your life.
God’s word says that “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” (Gospel of John 1:12). The Bible also calls us “households of God and fellow citizens of heaven”. Isn’t it wonderful? God can transform a person’s heart to such an extent that he considers us part of his family and calls us his children. He also added heavenly citizenship to our spiritual passport.
Let me repeat once more what the gospel is and what has happened in your life.
Gospel comes from the Greek word evangelion and means good news, which we have summarized for you in 4 points.
God loves me!
The first point is that God loves you very much! A wise man once said, “The Bible emphasizes nothing more than God’s love.” Every single person is important to God. His love for us is boundless and unconditional. God loved you with an eternal love. Open your heart to him and accept his embrace. (Bible: 1 John 4:16, Jeremiah 31:3)
I have sinned
Sin has separated us from God’s love. Sin is called hamartia in Greek and means missing the target. We sin when we ignore God’s will and break His laws. We sin when we act selfishly. Sin destroys our relationships with friends, family, and ultimately leads to eternal separation from God. (Bible: Isaiah 59:2, Romans 6:23)
Jesus died for me
The third point is the most well-known event in human history, but one that often remains misunderstood. The wages of sin is death. We have all sinned and lost access to the tree of life. But God loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for us. He died that we might receive forgiveness and eternal life. (Bible: John 3:16, Romans 5:8)
I need to make a decision
God did everything to show you how much He loves you. But the decision is yours. Jesus came to give you life in abundance. All you have to do is confess your sin and ask God for forgiveness. Then invite Jesus into your life as Lord and Savior and you will be saved. Decide today! (Bible: Revelation 3:20, John 1:12)
Prayer
Dear God, thank you for loving me and always wanting the best for me. I’m sorry I ignored you and went my own way. I realize that my sin hurt you and the people around me. Please forgive me. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Amen.
Don’t forget to build your spiritual life well. It stands on 4 basic pillars: 1. Prayer, which is a conversation with the Creator when you talk to God, 2. Reading God’s word through which God speaks to you 3. Community of believers – be planted in the house of God, in the church, to bring abundant fruit 4. Bear witness to your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Give others the opportunity to experience the forgiveness of sins and the joy of a new life. Lord Jesus told us. “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Gospel of Mark 16:15)
